TEM supports the idea of ethical eco-friendly

and sustainable jewelry, art and design.

The main raw material for the TEM-Jewelry

are hand-selected sea shells collected at local Southwest Florida Beaches like

Delnor Wiggins

Pass State Park in Naples, Barefoot Beach,

Lovers Key or the beaches of Sanibel and Keewaydin Island.

Beside the sea shells 90% of the material

for the jewelry are of vintage components from

local thrift stores, flea markets and antique stores .

 

I love the idea of recycling and turn old finds

into brand new individual treasures.

Beside beach-combing i explore the local fleamarkets, thriftstores and antique stores

– what i call „treasure-hunting“.

This is where i find a lot of my supplies, which i take apart, re-design with the seashells and give them the

finishing touch.

The shells as well as the vintage components are thoroughly cleaned before transformed in TEM-jewelry.

My main material will always be the seashell,

which is the essence of my work. But to mix it with old vintage or even antique components gives every single piece the unique spirit and distinctiveness.
